This was one of my favorite parts from the EIFF interview. Glad to see a news organization pick up on it and point out that Aronofsky’s policy is very un-Hollywood.

Speaking at the Edinburgh Film Festival, The Wrestler director said he found the experience of watching 3D movies “really annoying.”
The director admitted the technology had potential however, saying: “I can’t wait to see what Jim Cameron does with it because I’m sure it’ll be mind-blowing and amazing.”

RoboCop Delayed Until 2011 →
According to io9, an MGM spokesman recently confirmed Darren Aronofsky and David Self are still working on a script for RoboCop. However, the movie is now on track for a 2011 release. Aronofsky previously hinted on the Howard Stern Show that he may only be writing a script and no longer attached to direct.

Aronofsky Protests Ringling Bros.
Darren Aronofsky recently sent a letter to New York’s Taconic Investments in protest of the company allowing Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus use of their Coney Island property during the summer. In the letter, the director states:
