Let’s get through Black Swan before we start chewing through these rumors — but, I find it highly unlikely Darren Aronofsky would take on Wolverine 2 (Hugh Jackman or not).

Black Swan opens Venice Film Festival:

“Who knows if any of us will be showing films in movie theaters when you’ve got your iPod and iPad all the time,” Aronofsky said. “We made jokes the whole time about doing an iPad mix when we were mixing the film because probably most people on this planet will see it on some sort of device. They won’t see it in a big theater.”

Back in January, there were reports that Aronofsky had left the RoboCop project. According to a new report from the Financial Times regarding MGM, it was probably the truth.
